A question was asked...

I'm going to address this question here as well as where it was originally posted.  Because people sometimes think there is such a thing as eminent domain within fandoms, I'd like to clear up any misconceptions that might exist regarding that idea and the abundance of communities here on LJ.  For me, inclusiveness means there is room for everyone, and all of the ideas we have for enjoying MFU.

The Q&A went like this:
Hi Glenna, I am just curious as to how this community will differ from [livejournal.com profile] mfu_scrapbook in terms of content?

Hi ... I've always thought Scrapbook was for photos, at least it used to be primarily that. I'm looking at the gallery as primarily original artwork from contributors, other sources such as comics and book covers... artwork. Including other art forms and media is just following the path of a brick and mortar gallery, especially in this era of digital art.

In any event, is there some reason why two forums can't co-exist that have similar content? We've all been posting a variety of content all across the various communities here for some time, but as far as I know none of them are specifically dedicated to art per se.
People will post where they like, as always. I'm hoping that this serves a particular niche within the fandom that will allow a viewing venue for those who might otherwise miss it.
I hope that helps.
And, I hope this community is another inroad into making our experience on LJ as fans of MFU an even more enjoyable one on a daily basis.
